DC-3s, Plane Time
16” x 48”
Completed
2006. Commissioned by a DC-3 pilot instructor for her living room in Ohio. My charge from her was to design a window depicting a DC-3 to fit into this rather challenging vertical space. Instead of one plane, she got four! It suggests that wonderful time in aviation’s past when the DC-3 was THE airliner for America, and ‘plane time’ almost anywhere in the country was really ‘DC-3 time.’
